[ Our Mission ]

At CKP Athletics, we believe sports are more than just a game—they’re a platform for growth, confidence, and leadership. Founded by former Iowa State standout and WNBA professional Chelsea Poppens, CKP Athletics provides basketball training, mentorship, and life-skill development for athletes of all ages. Through high-level instruction, community events, and the CKP Foundation, we empower the next generation to succeed both on and off the court.

What We Do

Pass It Forward - November Clinic

Basketball + Life Skills for 4th-12th Grade Girls 

Join us for an all-day clinic sponsored by Gainbridge Assists x Parity for 4th–12th grade girls to train like athletes and grow as leaders. Participants will sharpen their basketball skills through drills, competitions, and team play, while also mixing in life-skill breakout sessions led by experts in financial literacy and mental performance. With a focus on confidence, teamwork, and personal growth, this clinic empowers girls both on and off the court.

Lunch is provided, and scholarships are available to ensure access for all.

Our Founder

Chelsea Poppens

Chelsea Poppens is the driving force behind CKP Athletics and the CKP Foundation. A former Iowa State Women’s Basketball standout, WNBA and overseas professional athlete, and current ESPN+ broadcaster, Chelsea has dedicated her career to empowering the next generation. Through her experience on the court and her passion for mentorship, she uses sports as a platform to teach confidence, leadership, and life skills that go far beyond the game.
